Completely Faithful

Home > Blog > Completely Faithful

I get email devotions, and this week I read an especially good one. ( Thank you Ron B.)

It was called the Problem of Unmet Needs and it asked … “if the Lord has promised to provide and is able , why doesn’t He always meet our needs when we ask. Since He’s completely faithful to His Word, the problem is obviously with us, not Him. Psalm 84: 11-12 says: : For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, How blessed is the man who trusts in You!” His promise of provision has a condition – it’s given to ‘those who walk uprightly” v, 11. So if God isn’t providing for our needs as we think He should, He may have a different plan for us.”

So often I think I know what is best for me and those that I love but instead I should be asking Him to guide me in walking ‘uprightly’ and trust that His actions and character always align. It is quite possible He is working something better!
