I love to read – and I have a tendency to hang on to books I’ve read that I really like. I might not fully re – read them for a long while, but I like to pull them out and use them for reference and encouragement. One that I pulled out recently is “Uprising”. I’m going to share a portion that I’ve both underlined and highlighted.

“There is a process in our becoming all that God created us to be. This is the human side of diving change. While becoming like God in His character is nothing shy of a gift from God Himself, being able to express that as a part of who we are is a process. This is the surprising journey to holiness. Transformation is both the miracle of God and the stewardship of man. Godliness is a result of divine activity and human action. God promises to do what we cannot do for ourselves and commands us to do that which he will not do for us. There is both miracle and responsibility.”

How are you working out the ‘stewardship part’ ?  Which part of the process are you in?Which small group or bible study are you taking part in ? Did you know Jesus gained wisdom from some of the same processes that we do . Isaiah 50:4,5 ” He awakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught. The Sovereign Lord has opened my ears and I have not be rebellious; I have not drawn back.” Jesus opened his ears and his heart to learning! I believe that God wants us to continually be growing in wisdom and faith and He has told us how to do that. Acts 2:42 ”  They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”
