My Mom got a GPS ! We all know what a GPS is… a guidance system that tells you where you’re going ~ No more stopping for directions.

Many times in life we don’t know which direction to turn or what to do.  What we need is a SGS – a spiritual guidance system. And we have one!

Psalm 119:9-11 “How can a young man keep his way pure?  By living according to your word.  I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands.  I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” This is our spiritual GPS system , God’s Word.

There are so many things that can lead us in the wrong direction but  the Word of God and the Holy Spirit give us the insight and direction that we need to find our way. But we can’t open it just when we need directions – we need to open it daily so we have daily direction!Guidance for each new day.

Did you start a Bible Reading Plan in January? I did – I’ve started one many a January 1st. But I’ve never accomplished an entire year through the Bible beginning to end. I would get behind a couple days and catch up, but then it would happen again and I wouldn’t get caught up, I’d try but soon get discouraged. THIS year I decided I just was NOT giving up – if I got behind, instead of overwhelming and discouraging myself by how much I needed to catch up, I would just keep on going! and guess what !! It’s working! I’ve missed a few days here and there, but by not letting myself dwell on that, I’ve been able to pick right up and keep going.

I want to encourage you to give it a try… sure it’s June but who says you can only start reading through the Bible in January?
